I'm Marc Wise — a Yorkshire entrepreneur helping founders grow themselves, their businesses, and their teams.
I work with entrepreneurs across Yorkshire and beyond who've hit the ceiling that comes from doing everything themselves — the founder who's the bottleneck, the business that's outpaced its systems, the team that's grown faster than its structure.
My approach is deliberately three-sided. You can't build a resilient business on a burnt-out founder, and you can't build a resilient team without the systems to support it. So I work across all three at once.
Everything I bring to the table was earned as an operator, not learned in a classroom. I've spent over a decade building Live For Today into one of Yorkshire's most trusted adventure and team-building companies — 500+ corporate events delivered across venues like Ripley Castle and Swinton Estate.
Running that business taught me two things. First, that the moments which genuinely change how a team works together rarely happen in a meeting room. And second, that most growing businesses drown in admin long before they run out of ambition — which is why I built 53°, the software platform that runs my own company and now helps other founders set game-changing goals and get more done.
The third pillar came from my own experience of founder life: it's lonely, and traditional networking makes it worse, not better. The Breather — created with Dani Wainwright of Wainwright Consulting — is our answer: peer groups of ambitious business owners who recharge together instead of exchanging business cards over cold coffee.
Everything I recommend to founders, I've built and tested in my own companies first.
